Ryan Bittle Cast In All My Children
Ryan Bittle is the latest actor to portray JR Chandler in returning soap opera All My Children.
The actor has been cast in the role of JR for Prospect Park’s revival of the former ABC Daytime soap. Production should be underway on the new episodes of All My Children and more casting details have already been announced.
The character of JR Chandler was last portrayed by actor Jacob Young who has since rejoined the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful as Rick Forrester – hence why the character has been re-cast yet again. The character has been portrayed by various actors down the years such as Jesse McCartney and Jonathan Bennett.
Young played JR between 2003 and AMC’s finale in 2011; in the final episode of AMC‘s ABC run JR fired several shots at a party. Prospect Park’s revival will pick up events five years on from those events….
Ryan Bittle’s appearance as JR will not be his first stint in AMC; in 2010 he played a character called Logan in two episodes. The actor’s other notable credits include appearances in Shameless, The New Normal, Bones and NCIS.
In other casting news Eric Nelsen has been cast as JR’s son – now older because of the time jump – AJ. Model Robert Scott Wilson has been cast in the role of Pete Cortlandt and Sal Stowers has been cast in the role of Cass Foster; the adopted daughter of Angela (Debbie Morgan)
