Fox Renews Comedies New Girl, Raising Hope and The Mindy Project

Fox has renewed three of its comedies for new seasons.

The renewal of comedies New Girl, Raising Hope and The Mindy Project comes after the re-commissioning of thriller drama The Following starring Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy.

Zooey Deschanel comedy New Girl will return for a third season while Raising Hope has been granted a fourth season. Freshman series The Mindy Project will be back for a second outing.

Fox has already renewed the long-running drama Bones as well as its line-up of animated comedies such as The Simpsons, American Dad and Family Guy. Notably The Cleveland Show has not yet been picked up and as such is not expected to be because of the long production process involved with animated shows.

Glee has not yet been renewed for a fifth season but is widely expected to be; reports claim negotiations between Fox and the studio are underway.
