ITV order more episodes of Tipping Point

Daytime game show Tipping Point, hosted by Ben Shephard, will have a third series following a recommission by ITV.

Tipping Point

RDF Television will put together 70 more episodes of the ITV show which sees contestants answering questions to win thousands of pounds on a giant slot machine.

“We are delighted with the continued success of Tipping Point and very much looking forward to further building its status as a key ITV Daytime quiz show alongside the huge success of The Chase” – Commissioning Editor for ITV Factual and Daytime, Diana Howie

Players must answer questions to win turns on the machine. Get a question wrong and the machine won’t pay out resulting in the player with the least amount of money at the end getting eliminated.

The last player standing goes head to head with the Tipping Point machine and they’ll be focused on just one counter – the golden jackpot disc. Again, answering questions for the right to play the machine, they’ll win a big cash sum if they can make it release the jackpot counter.

  • Bit of a shite format wasn’t it really?

  • ITV are currently breaking the law by not providing a free entry to Tipping Point’s viewer competition. Changing the free entry to Postal Entry is definitely an attempt to reduce the number of entrants not paying for any entry. The Gambling Act states that the free entry routr should be “no less convenient than the paid-for route”
