ITV buys production company Garden

ITV has acquired The Garden Productions company for an initial £18 million.

The company is behind such shows as Channel 4‘s award winning 24 Hours in A&E and BBC Two’s Inside Claridge’s.

ITV said that they will pay a further capped cash payment contingent on The Garden’s future performance although it is only to be paid on the delivery of significant profit growth over the next five years.

In 2012 The Garden made an operating profit of £2.5m. The company was created in 2010 by Nick Curwin who had previously worked at LWT and other production companies.
