Bets on for an ABBA reunion
With Agnetha Fältskog, the blond one from ABBA, having hinted at a possible reunion for Sweden’s most successful band, odds are being offered for the famous foursome to perform a reunion concert in 2013.
However with this year’s Eurovision Song Contest set to rock Malmö next month, perhaps the stars have aligned for ABBA to open the show with a sensational comeback in celebration of the 40th anniversary of their Eurovision win which propelled them to international mega-stardom. Paddy Power’s 16/1 looks like good value, as does the 20/1 for the band to announce a world tour by the end of the year.
Elsewhere, the bookmaker is offering 12/1 for ABBA to play Glastonbury by 2015 and 10/1 to release a new album.
A Paddy Power spokesperson said: “ABBA fans will be spitting out their meatballs in excitement at prospect of a reunion. Given home turf, plus the 40th anniversary of their Eurovision triumph, Paddy Power’s 16/1 to open the show looks to be worth a pound of anybody’s money.”
