ABC Orders More Neighbors

Alien themed comedy The Neighbors has received a late pick-up from ABC.

The broadcaster has ordered a second series of the comedy, created by Dan Fogelman, and starring Jami Gertz and Lenny Venito.

The Neighbors was missing from ABC’s raft of renewals/pick-ups announced on Friday – which included Grey’s Anatomy, Revenge and Modern Family – but was subsequently renewed for a second run.

The “bubble show” averaged a 2.0 rating in the 18-49 demo. ABC will announce its fall Autumn line-up on Tuesday.
