Tess Daly on fame, motherhood and her marriage

In an exclusive interview and photoshoot with The Sun’s Fabulous magazine today the Strictly Come Dancing host has opened up about fame, motherhood and her marriage to cheeky-chappy Bolton boy and Family Fortunes host Vernon Kay.

Tess, 44, who’s recently landed a £300,000 deal with cosmetics giant L’Oreal, clearly remembers the instant sexual chemistry when she and Vernon, 39, first met back in 2000.

“It was all quite immediate, really, because we instantly had such a blast together,” she says. “I couldn’t imagine having more fun with anyone else. It was pretty explosive, I tell you…”

The mum-of-two admits that a long-term relationship can never be the same as when you first meet – “those giddy stomach flips” – but says she always makes time for romance – “You keep the fire burning, you keep stoking that fire.”

Northern lass Tess also reveals that hubby Vernon has grown up in recent years.

“I guess he is the same, but more mature. You know what men are like, they never really grow up, do they? Do they ever catch us up mentally? I don’t think so.”
