Big Brother's Bit on the Side, Channel 5

Following the ditching of Brian Dowling as main Big Brother presenter today Channel 5 have released the first photos of former X Factor contestant and Celebrity Big Brother contestant Rylan Clark and television presenter AJ Odudu  with Emma Willis who has taken the lead presenting role.

BB fan Rylan entered the Celebrity Big Brother house in January 2013 after becoming a household name over on ITV’s singing contest, famed for his lack of ability to sing, but gave personality performances.

Rylan Clark comments on his new telly job, “I have followed the show since the very beginning. It was a dream come true to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house this year, let alone win it! Being offered the job to present Big Brother’s Bit On The Side was amazing.”

He was crowned the winner of Celebrity Big Brother in a tense final against housemates Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. Rylan, a proud native of Essex, stole the show with his extreme emotional reactions, quick wit and natural showmanship. He has since appeared on Daybreak and This Morning as a guest presenter and regularly appears as a guest on Celebrity Juice.

Newcomer AJ has presented on both BBC television and radio and is no stranger to the Big Brother audience having appeared before as a panelist on the bit on the side show.

AJ Odudu adds, “It’s going to be brilliant fun hooking up with Rylan and Emma for Big Brother’s Bit On The Side. I can’t wait to find out who the housemates are and get stuck in.”

Last week news from Channel 5 HQ also announced there will be a new psych show, Big Brother’s Bit On The Psych. The Bit On The Psych team will be joined by a panel of experts and psychologists to analyse the behaviour of the housemates over the past seven days. Rylan will also front a Sunday lunchtime edition of Bit On The Side.

Ben Frow, Director of Programmes Channel 5 said of the changes “Big Brother’s spin off shows have a history of bringing on new talent and with Rylan and AJ I think we have two future stars.”

BB fans will also be pleased to hear that live streaming returns nightly between 7-9pm on sister channel 5-Star.
