The Voice UK Set To Return For Third Series?

Broadcast report that the BBC is close to renewing The Voice UK for a third series in a deal which would extend its £22m deal with Talpa Media.

Although no official announcement is expected for several weeks BBC execs are said to be in talks about a third series – it is unclear whether the renewal will be for just one series or multiple.

The second series of The Voice has seen its ratings steadily rise across the weeks, however it has been unable to match rival Britain’s Got Talent in the ratings, which following a lull last year is currently the top-rated programme on Saturday nights.

The Voice UK features Tom Jones, Will.i.am, Jessie J and Danny O’Donoghue as vocal coaches while BGT features Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon as judges.
