Tulisa arrested over drug deal
Tulisa Contostavlos has been arrested after her involvement in a cocaine deal emerged at the weekend.
The Sun – with audio footage to support their claim – revealed on Sunday how one of its undercover reporters approached the former X Factor judge on a night out, asking if she could supply the drug.
Tulisa replied: “Half my phone book sells it. Of course I can get it for you.
“Half the guys I know are drug dealers. One’s a massive cocaine dealer. He’s my best friend. He’s a gangster – he’s my gangster.”
The ‘Young’ singer went on to describe the code words she uses when speaking to a dealer.
“We talk in lingo. Like we know what. I can’t call him and go, ‘Have you got any?’ I’ll say, ‘Hi, have you got any sweets? And he’ll be like, ‘Um, how many sweets do you want?’
“And I’ll say, ‘Oh just a nice bag of sweets.’ And he goes, ‘How big a bag?’ I’ll say maybe like ‘Four sweets’ — and I’m referring to what he knows is what. Like we have a whole lingo.”
Tulisa then passed on contact details for a dealer, whom the paper later contacted to arrange a deal involving £800 worth of cocaine at London’s Dorchester hotel.
She was arrested earlier today along with a 35-year-old man and both are in custody.
A statement from police previously said they were considering information that had been passed to them relating to the incident.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed: “Officers from Westminster have arrested two people – a 35-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman – on suspicion of supplying class A drugs. They are in custody at a Central London police station.”
