Denise Welch marries in Portugal

Former Coronation Street actress and current Loose Women gossip Denise Welch has married in Portugal.

The North East born actress and presenter married partner Lincoln Townley yesterday, the Daily Record reports.

Welch, who was married to fellow actor Tim Healy for 24 years until their divorce last year, exchanged vows with 40-year-old Townley at the Algarve resort of Vale do Lobo.

A swath of celebrity pals attended the wedding the paper notes including former Corrie stars Jill Halfpenny and Shobna Gulati as well as actor Marc Warren.

Welch made her television debut in 1981 in the Tyne Tees Television produced drama Barriers. Among Welch’s other credits are Waterloo Road, Spender and Solider Solider which also lead to a spin-off single in 1995, peaking in the top 30 of the UK singles charts.

She became a sensation appearing in the 2012 Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5, where she liked to flash her boobs (pictured)
