Steadman confirmed, in an interview with the Radio Times, that ITV had decided not to order a second series. Steadman said she was “disappointed” by the show’s axing and said “Who knows who makes these decisions”
The actress stated the cast enjoyed filming the comedy/drama “It’s very hard. We loved the series and we really felt like a family. We were sort of banking on it going again. It’s so lovely and we had such a great time and we were terribly sorry not to do another series. All the cast were very sad.”
Steadman is about to start filming a pilot for a new comedy currently titled Grey Mates. The comedy, set in the Norfolk costal town of Hunstanton, revolves around an “elderly” friendship group reports the Radio Times. The pilot is being filmed in September with the BBC to decide later whether they want to pick it up as a series.
