Michael Le Vell for I’m A Celebrity?

Kevin Webster, played by Michael Le VellCoronation Street actor Michael Le Vell could be headed to the jungle for this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Le Vell, 48, was acquitted of 12 child sex charges by a jury at Manchester Crown Court on Tuesday.

The Sun reports that show execs are keen for Le Vell to appear on the reality show to help pay off his legal costs.

He would be rewarded with a six-figure fee which would help him out enormously. He’s also seen as a great candidate for the show and would be a tremendous  asset to it.

Those who know him see him as an easy-going lad, one of the boys, and with his love of Australia, he could jump at the chance of joining  up. – Source

The paper adds that Le Vell won’t reappear in Coronation Street as car mechanic Kevin Webster until February because of how far the soap’s bosses plan ahead.

However, this contradicts a previous report which suggested producers have promised Le Vell a major role in a Christmas storyline.

Kevin has been absent from the ITV soap since February when legal proceedings against Le Vell began.

Le Vell has played the role since 1983.
