EastEnders Pictures – Michael Moon's funeral

EastEnders cast and crew filmed on location for the funeral of Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd) yesterday and new pictures have been released from the episode.

The pictures show the characters of Kat (Jessie Wallace) and Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) attending the funeral together and Alfie comforting a clearly emotional Kat.
Meanwhile, Michael’s estranged wife Janine (Charlie Brooks) appears to be alone as she sheds a tear by his graveside.

The Daily Star Sunday confirmed last month that scheming Michael would be killed off in a future storyline, and suggested Alice Branning (Jasmyn Banks) would play a major role in the storyline after he enlists her help in getting his daughter back from Janine.
An insider told the paper: “Ever since Janine returned to Albert Square things have gone from bad to worse for Michael. He’s lost custody of his daughter and hates Janine with a passion.
“They have been fighting for months and it’s only going to get worse. But when Michael manipulates Alice into helping him she flips out and the fall-out will have major consequences.
“Viewers will be shocked by the lengths Janine and Michael will go to for the sake of their daughter.”
However, the exact circumstances surrounding Michael’s demise are yet to be revealed.
The storyline is expected to play out towards the end of next month.
