Matt Davis To Join CSI

Vampire Diaries actor Matt Davis has landed a role in CBS drama CSI.

TV Line reports that Davis will have a recurring role in the 14th season of the forensic drama. The actor will play the son of a decorated fireman who is smart, athletic, competitive but also a bit of a loner. Davis will make his first appearance in CSI at the end of October.

Davis’ most recent role was in the very short-lived CW drama series Cult which was pulled after just a handful of episodes due to woeful ratings. Prior to that he had a starring role in The Vampire Diaries where he played school-teacher Alaric. Despite being killed off at the conclusion of the third season Davis’ appeared in several season four episodes.

CSI kicks off its 14th season on Wednesday 25th September.
