X Factor and Stepping Out Ratings Rise

LOUIS WALSH THE X FACTORThe third audition show saw ratings rise for the X Factor while the much-panned Stepping Out also saw a modest rise in ratings.

Overnight ratings reveal the latest Saturday edition of the X Factor saw an impressive rise in ratings. The edition, the third of the audition round, saw a 700,000 rise in ratings as the X Factor averaged 8.6 million viewers with a peak of 8.8 million. An additional 400,000 caught the episode an hour later via ITV +1.

The much panned new ITV entertainment series Stepping Out also saw a modest rise in ratings. Last week Stepping Out tumbled in the ratings up against BBC One‘s Strictly Come Dancing. With the dancing series absent from the schedules this week Stepping Out rallied to 3.1 million viewers – hardly stellar ratings though from a series ITV doubtless had high hopes for.

Meanwhile ITV’s revival of Through the Keyhole – hosted by love him/hate him Keith Lemon – had 4.2 million viewers at 9pm.

  • The X factor looks tired to me (I’m surprised it can still garner over the 8 million mark), Stepping Out is a lost cause and Froo the key’ole with the execrable Keith Lemon is truly the worst TV show I have ever seen.

And all this from the channel of the year 🙁
