Low Ratings For Celebrity Big Brother Finale

Celebrity Big Brother‘s finale on Channel 5 drew a low audience as Geordie Shore‘s Charlotte Crosby was crowned the winner.

Friday evening’s finale of the Celebrity version of Big Brother drew its lowest ratings (for a finale) since the reality series was revived by Channel 5. Overnight ratings reveal that the first edition of Big Brother drew 2.2 million viewers between 8.30 – 10pm. However, the later edition, in which Crosby was crowned the winner, had 1.7 million viewers.

A closer look at the ratings reveal a peak audience of 1.9 million viewers tuned in. Those figures are down considerably on previous finales of Celebrity Big Brother which have typically peaked at around 3 million viewers.

Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby beat the likes of Abz Love, Lauren Harris, Carol McGriffin, Mario Falcome` and Vicky Entwistle to win the Summer version of Celebrity Big Brother.

  • It’s C5’s own fault for sandwiching the launch of the truly hideous Celebrity Health Spa in between it.

That’ll be the reason the audience fell off 🙂

  • The “celebs” this year were were dreadful, not really celebs. For me the last straw was getting someone like cast of Geordie Shore on as a “celebrity”. CBB died there and then for me. I think that is why people switched off.
