EastEnders: The Queen Vic goes on sale

EastEnders: The Queen Vic

The official EastEnders website has released a teaser clip suggesting the Queen Vic pub will be put up for sale as part of a future storyline. Fans of the saga are already speculating over the mysterious clip which shows the Queen Victoria sign with ‘For Sale’ emblazoned across it.

The pub has passed through many hands over the years but is currently owned by Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) who employs Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) and his cousin Roxy (Rita Simons) to run the place.

Fondly remembered previous landlords include ‘Dirty’ Den Watts (Leslie Grantham) and his alcoholic wife Angie (Anita Dobson), Pat (Pam St. Clement) and Frank Butcher (Mike Reid) and Sharon Rickman (Letitia Dean), adopted daughter of Den, who felt a connection with the pub thanks to it being her family home.

However its the Mitchell family who are best known for their years in the boozer with matriarch of the family Peggy Mitchell (Barbara Windsor) spending the longest as landlady.
