Susan Sarandon for sitcom Growing Ivy
Actress Susan Sarandon is reportedly being lined up for a leading sitcom role.
RTÉ report that Sarandon and her daughter Eva Amurri Martino are working on a pilot episode of a potential comedy series for NBC Television in America.
The show which is entitled Growing Ivy stars Sarandon and Martino as mother and daughter with the main action focusing on Martino’s character Ivy Davis. Ivy will be a career woman with little time for personal matters. Sarandon is to appear as ‘free spirited’ Frankie Davis.
The pilot storyline will show the two women living together and how their polls apart attitudes to live make for the drama and comedy.
Sarandon has previously only made guest appearances in television series with her main body of work being in theatre and movies. She’s best known for films The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Thelma & Louise.
