Nazir family to grow in Coronation Street
ITV Granada have announced that the family of gym owner Kal Nazir is to expand further with the arrival of his mother and teenage son.
Kal, played by Jimi Mistry, has already been joined on screen by his father Sharif – actor Marc Anwar and Sair Khan was cast last month as wayward daughter Alya. Now the Nazirs will be joined by Shelley King as Kal’s mum Yasmeen and ‘Shameless’ actor Qasim Akhtar as teenage son Zeedan.
