Toya Washington evicted from Big Brother

Big Brother Summer 2014Toya Washington has become the third person to be evicted from the Big Brother house.

The 29 year old video blogger faced the public vote this week alongside Ash, Christopher, Chris, Danielle, Marlon, Winston, and killer nominee Jale.

Toya left the house to boos from the crowd and joined Emma Willis for her post-eviction interview where she claimed that she was “really relieved” to be out of the house.

“I felt like it got to a point where I wasn’t having fun anymore. Unfortunately Helen is the common denominator in the house, if she leaves you’ll see fun re-enter the house,” she revealed.

On why she was voted out of the house over the other seven nominees and received a negative reception from the crowd, Toya said: “I’m not afraid to stand up for myself. I will never be backed into a corner. I’m the sort of person who says what’s on my mind. I keep it real and I refuse to ever be a victim”.

After being shown a VT of her confrontational nature in the house, Toya explained: “When I’m annoyed, I’m really angry but I’m [also] the type of person who, when I’ve done something wrong, I’ll apologise. I don’t regret any of that”.

Asked about her argument with Ash, Marlon and Winston after they found out that she and Matthew had vetoed their nominations, Toya said: “I wasn’t given that opportunity to explain. People hear but they don’t listen. I felt backed into a corner and I had to defend myself.

“The problem with Marlon is he needs this to validate him. I just don’t like it when people are overly arrogant. I don’t respect people that are sheep [and] I don’t respect people that don’t respect themselves”.

Toya described Helen as a “confused” girl who annoyed her by seeking affirmation from the other housemates after she had tried to give her some good advice.

Toya added: “She sets the tone [and] usually her mood is dictated on whether she gets red wine or not. I don’t think she’s inherently bad, I just think that she’s very very angry”.

Following the interview, Big Brother revealed to the housemates that this week the female housemates – Helen, Ashleigh, Kimberly, Danielle and Jale – are to have power over the house.

As a result, all of the boys are now up for eviction, while killer nominee Jale has a week off from the public vote. However, on Monday the girls will have the opportunity to save some of the boys from the public vote.
