Dr. Christian to front weight-loss factual series for Channel 4
Embarrassing Bodies star Dr. Christian Jessen is to front a weight-loss factual series for Channel 4.
Each episode of Fatonomics will see two contributors stake their own cash on losing more weight than their opponent.
Both will have failed to keep going with any diet or exercise regime in the past but will the fear of losing their own money make them finally shed the pounds and keep them off?
“Channel 4 once again investing in fatties, how lovely darling I’ll be hooked watching while eating a donna kabab.” – ATV Critic, Queenie
The series is part of a raft of new factual commissions for the broadcaster to air across 2014/2015.
Others include:
Damned Designs following the plight of home owners who find themselves in court after falling foul of planning laws.
Sarah Beeny will present Clicks and Mortar charting the progress of two families who decide to sell their home online instead of through a high street estate agent.
Businessman and banker Dave Fishwick will advise on the pitfalls and offer tricks of the trade to would-be property developers in Can Property Pay My Wages?
Inside Out Home will see architectural genius Zac Monro answer home owners needs in amazing ways – overturning dull conformity by creating bold, individual and stylish pads that are not afraid to stand out proudly from the crowd.
The Shut-Ins will follow those who are held hostage by a life devoted to food providing them with specialist help to turn their lives around.
Frances Atkins’ Autumn Feasts will shine a spotlight on the chef’s work at the award-winning Yorke Arms in Yorkshire, filming behind the scenes and front of house, observing the staff, diners and the symbiotic relationship between the kitchen and the customer.
As we previously reported, Charlie Luxton is to put Britain’s coastline dwellings under scrutiny in Charlie Luxton’s Shore Thing, taking a look at what makes the perfect seaside home and what challenges can arise with a spectacular sea view.
