Big Brother unveils ‘Power Of Money’ details

11602Big Brother has unveiled further details about this week’s ‘Power Of Money’ twist.

Earlier today, the appearance of a large cash counter in the living area became a source of intrigue in the house.

Big Brother then gathered the housemates at the seating area to inform them that over the next two days they will be given the opportunity to increase the show’s £100,000 prize fund by up to £25,000 (25%).

To achieve this they must participate in a series of challenges as outlined below:

Additional Nomination:

In this task a Perspex box will be placed in the house with 3 gold envelopes inside it, reflecting the number of housemates who are not currently facing the public vote – Ash, Ashleigh and Chris.

Each envelope will contain one of three monetary values (£1000, £5,000 or £10,000), and Ash, Ashleigh and Chris must each draw an envelope.

Once everyone has drawn an envelope, the housemates who already face the public vote – Pav, Christopher, Mark and Winston – must choose one of these three housemates to join them, with the money inside the additional nominee’s envelope being added to the prize fund.

Helen’s Salon:

In this task Winston and Ash will each be offered ‘Helen’s Special Haircut’, the same haircut Helen has given to Christopher and Mark in the past.

Winston and Ash will be provided with visual reminders of exactly what Helen’s Special Haircut consists of. If they choose to have the haircut, they will add the money to the prize fund.

Family Temptation:

In this task the three Housemates who did not receive their letters from home (Mark, Chris, Christopher) will be given the opportunity to spend time with one of their family members.

One by one, each housemate will be called to the Diary Room where they will be able to see on the screen that one of their family members is downstairs in the Family room. They  will be told that they can go down and spend some time with their family member, however should they choose to do so the money available will start counting down.

Once in the Small Task Room, there will be no clock/money count down so that the housemate in there will not know how long they have been or how much money they have spent.
