Big Brother: Chris Wright becomes fifth and final nominee

Big Brother Summer 2014 - ChrisChris Wright has become the fifth and final housemate to be put up for this week’s Big Brother eviction.

Earlier today, the housemates were informed that over the next two days they will be given the opportunity to increase the show’s £100,000 prize fund by up to £25,000 (25%).

The potential increase rests on a series of challenges, the first of which led to the actor joining Pav, Christopher, Mark and Winston in facing the public vote.

It saw a Perspex box placed in the house with three gold envelopes inside it, each containing a monetary value (£1000, £5,000 or £10,000).

The housemates not facing the public vote as a result of yesterday’s face to face nominations – Ash, Ashleigh and Chris – were then instructed to draw an envelope from the box.

Once they had chosen their envelopes, the four original nominees were asked to select one of the three to join them, with the money inside the additional nominee’s envelope being added to the prize fund.

Chris’s envelope contained £10,000 which means the prize fund has now increased to £110,000.

The fate of Pav, Christopher, Mark, Winston and Chris is to be decided by the public with two of them leaving the house on Friday.
