Extra-terrestrial conspiracy theories to be examined in one-off doc for Channel 4

Channel 4 is to air a one-off factual programme based around extra-terrestrial conspiracy theories.

In a one hour long documentary, writer and comedian Dan Schreiber will meet an array of Brits who believe there is a global conspiracy to cover up alien visits to Earth.

Commissioned by Anna Miralis, the show will feature interviews with individuals who have had close encounters, as well as leading experts in the field of ufology and those who have dedicated their life’s work to uncovering the alleged alien cover-ups.

“Channel 4 have let me loose on my first ever TV documentary to meet people who may have had contact with aliens. I’m fascinated by conspiracy theories – the stories, the people and the connections they make. This isn’t about proving them right, or debunking them, it’s just an appreciation for some fantastic mind-blowing ideas.” – Schreiber

In addition to his work as a stand-up performer, Dan co-created BBC Radio 4’s Museum of Curiosity and has worked as a researcher/’Elf’ for BBC Two’s QI.

Plum Pictures will produce the documentary for Channel 4 that has been given the working title The Big E.T. Conspiracy.
