BBC One’s Tumble launches with 3 million viewers
BBC One’s new gymnastics show Tumble launched with disappointing ratings on Saturday.
An average of 3.16 (20.7%) tuned in to the beeb’s latest entertainment offering between 6.30pm-8.00pm.
The show sees ten celebrities partner with professional gymnasts as they learn and perform various disciplines from the world of gymnastics. The famous faces taking part include former EastEnders star John Partridge, Loose Woman Andrea McLean and Girls Aloud’s Sarah Harding.
In recent times both the BBC and ITV have struggled to launch successful weekend entertainment formats, with the recently-axed Splash! becoming only a moderate hit for ITV and the BBC airing a succession of flops including I Love My Country and That Puppet Game Show.
