UTV Player app launches on IOS and Android

Viewers in Northern Ireland will now be able to catch up with their favorite UTV programmes on their phone or tablet following the launch of a new state of the art UTV Player.

With a contemporary, robust design, UTV’s new catch up service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and remains completely free of charge. The new UTV Player supports desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile viewing, across Mac and PC, iOS and Android platforms to reach a wider audience.

UTV worked with leading product design agency Ostmodern to create a player which the ITV broadcaster and production company says puts user satisfaction and engagement at the heart of the service and enhances UTV’s free, ad-funded proposition.

The UTV Player App for iOS and Android is available to download now from the App Store and Google Play. The UTV Player is available at player.u.tv. UTV has been the ITV broadcaster for Northern Ireland since 1959 and along with STV remains independent of ITVplc. UTV is to expand with a new station covering Ireland from early next year.
