Pet Shop Boys to feature in tonight’s The Archers
The Pet Shop Boys are to make a cameo appearance in The Archers.
Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe’s iconic pop act will feature in tonight’s instalment of the long-running radio serial, after stepping in at the last minute to headline the show’s fictional music festival, Loxfest.

The special guest appearance, which was recorded at the illustrious Maida Vale Studios last month, can be heard in The Archers usual slot on BBC Radio 4 at 7pm.

The Archers is the world’s longest-running soap opera having started in 1950 on the Regional Home Service. It is recorded in Birmingham at the Mailbox and remains one of Radio 4’s most popular programmes.
Previous guest appearances in the oral production include HRH The Duchess of Cornwall, Humphrey Lyttelton, Terry Wogan, Britt Ekland, Dame Edna Everage, Princess Margaret, Alan Titchmarsh, Griff Rhys Jones, Antony Gormley, Dame Judi Dench, Richard Griffiths and Sir Bradley Wiggins.
