Zoe Birkett becomes the tenth evictee of Big Brother 2014

Big Brother Summer 2014Zoe Birkett has become the tenth housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house.

The 29 year old musical theatre star faced the public vote this week alongside Chris Wright and Pavandeep Paul.

After leaving the house to a mixed reception, Zoe told Emma Willis: “Emotionally I’m a lot stronger than some of them in there so for me dealing with crowds and stuff doesn’t really bother me. I’m still living and breathing and I’m gonna get a nice hug of my family”.

Zoe admitted that she is “a little bit gutted” to be out of the house as she would’ve loved to have stayed in until the end.

On being a latecomer to the series, Zoe described the experience as “really hard” and explained: “Everyone’s got bonds and relationships. They’re seriously paranoid and I found that quite difficult”. Zoe opined that Pav may have struggled more than her as he “over thinks” things, noting that he is actually “lovely and genuine”.

Discussing the comment she had made about “normal people” who work at Tesco, Zoe argued: “You missed the whole conversation! It was about half an hour long saying how impressed I was with all the different housemates, I love business people and learning stuff.

“I’ve definitely been misunderstood. That’s not who I am at all and literally when I’ve had ups and downs throughout my career, I’ve done whatever it takes to keep a roof over my head. If you’d watched the series with me for the past three weeks I’d like to think people can tell I’m a grounded girl”.

Of her upbeat nature, Zoe revealed: “I’m just a general happy lass and I’ve got a lovely life. I love meeting people, I’m a great people person… if that’s my downfall, I’m happy with that”.

Reflecting on her relationships in the house, Zoe said she had got on with Mark as “We’re both full of energy and I respected his views quite a lot,” and also said she had enjoyed Ash’s company as he is “salt of the earth”.

Following Zoe’s interview, Emma revealed that its the ‘Power of Money’ all next week with housemates being given the opportunity to increase the winner’s prize fund by £25,000 pounds. However, they will also have the chance to double-cross one another in an as-yet undisclosed twist.

Big Brother continues tomorrow at 9.00pm on Channel 5.
