Helen Wood wins Big Brother 2014

Big Brother Summer 2014

Helen Wood has won Big Brother 2014.

The salon owner beat Ashleigh Coyle to the title of winner – following Pav Paul, Chris Wright, Ash Harrison and Christopher Hall leaving the house earlier tonight.

Joining Emma Willis for her first winners interview, a shocked Helen admitted that she would have “probably been out the first or second week” without her pass to the final.

After being shown a clip of the numerous conflicts she was a part of in the house, Helen explained: “I’m out of order on so many occasions [but] when I have been arguing with people it’s when I’ve been wound up. Sometimes I just take it too far [but] hopefully I’ll stop doing that after seeing that and actually being quite embarrassed”.

Emma pointed out that Helen had calmed down a bit and asked if that was down to the warnings she had received from Big Brother.

Helen replied: “I realised living with people I couldn’t continue to behave like that. Yeah I did get the warning but I knew that I couldn’t carry on the way I was going. I wanted to be there and make friends but some people in the house made that impossible.

“I’ve got to learn to bite my tongue more and not be as crude as what I have been”.

Discussing her long-running rivalry with Ashleigh, Helen revealed: “I think we’re just both strong characters but I deal with things differently. I can’t argue with myself, I was arguing for a reason”.

Probed about her relationship with Ash, whom she’d been close to in the house, Helen said: “I like him as my best friend that’s all. Of course he’s gorgeous but I love him as friend [and] that’s it. He’s a really good friend and I would have struggled without him in the house”.
