Jack Walton exits The X Factor in Fright Night elimination twist
Jack Walton has become the sixth act to leave The X Factor.
The singer was eliminated from the competition in tonight’s Halloween-themed show after receiving the fewest number of votes from the public. His version of Leona Lewis’s Bleeding Love failed to strike a chord with the judges and the public.
“It’s been absolutely amazing. I’ve just loved it – being able to be on this stage and performing in front of so many people.
“Mel’s [mentor] been mint. She’s just straight to the point, she’s been honest with all the way through. She’s a genuine lovely lovely person.” – Walton
A shock elimination was planned for tonight’s ‘Fright Night’ after bosses decided that the contestants needed a “wake up call” following a string of dire performances. Two million votes were cast before lines were frozen and a vote count was taken.
18 year old Jack had been the bookies favourite to exit the competition in tonight’s show which featured a performance from The Script.
The lines have now reopened for tomorrow’s results show which airs at 8.00pm on ITV and will see a further contestant exit the competition.
