Richard Ayoade seeking efficiency in Channel 4 travel series

Channel 4 have unveiled details of its new travel series to be hosted by Richard Ayoade.

Each episode of Travel Man will see the actor and director visit an array of ‘exciting’ locations where he will challenge himself to do as much as possible with minimum fuss aided by some ingenious gadgets and apps.

Having conquered the world of technology in Gadget Man, Richard Ayoade deserves a break. But there’s a problem: while he loves the idea of travel and seeing the world, he hates going on holiday. For Richard, the average trip is long, boring and stressful. Surely there must be a way to make it more fun, more efficient, and less tedious? – Channel 4 Press

Celebrities including Kathy Burke, Adam Hills, Jessica Hynes and Stephen Mangan will be tagging along with Ayoade – but can they persuade him to take things at a more relaxed pace?  Some of the locations featured in the four-part series include Iceland and Barcelona.

The broadcaster notes that the series is ‘coming soon’ and that its title could change.
