Craig Charles leaves I’m A Celebrity following brother’s death

Craig Charles has pulled out of I’m A Celebrity after being informed of his brother’s death.

Show chiefs informed Charles that his brother Dean has passed away earlier today.

The actor was exempt from the public vote for the latest Bushtucker trial with a source on the show now confirming his departure.

“Craig decided to leave the I’m a Celebrity camp earlier today and will be heading back to his family in the UK.

Charles is best known for his roles as Dave Lister in BBC2’s sci-fi situation comedy Red Dwarf and Lloyd Mullaney in Coronation Street, with notable presenter and voice-over roles on Robot Wars and Takeshi’s Castle.

I’m A Celebrity continues tonight at 9.00pm on ITV.
