His skills immediately won him plaudits from the likes of Hip Hop lyricists Cassidy and Dancehall legend Beanie Man. Since then Michael has spent his time writing and producing for other artists including DJ Whoo Kid and his mentor Mario Winans before developing the eclectic new Zaphonic sound.

Zaphonic are a three piece band backed by Nathan Sterenfeld on guitar/laptop duty and Dee Biberian the drummer delivering the tight playing worthy of the sound.

The A-side single ‘Rorrim’ sees Zaphonic draw on influences as wide and diverse as Alice in Chains and Tupac with it’s distorted guitars over and DnB Bassline and heavy Hip Hop, while the B-side ‘Divorce Your Thoughts’ effortlessly blends Electronic metal, Dark Dub, Synths and banging drums with head nodding Hip Hop beats – channeling Black Sabbath and The Grateful Dead in the process.

The bands debut album ‘Pathogenesis’ is scheduled for release in February 2015.
