Classic cartoon characters Tom and Jerry are to do their bit for the 2014 Children In Need fundraiser.
After receiving a letter from Sir Terry Wogan, Tom and Jerry head out on a mission to raise money for BBC Children in Need by visiting some of the BBC’s best loved shows and television personalities.
The duo visit the Match of the Day studio and see Gary Lineker where they pick up some football tips; perform to the Strictly Come Dancing judges (Len Goodman, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood); stir up some trouble in the Queen Vic of EastEnders with Mick and Linda (Danny Dyer and Kellie Bright); head to The Great British Bake Off for a snack where they meet Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood and they call on Lord Alan Sugar, Karren Brady and Nick Hewer in The Apprentice boardroom.
This is not the first time big stars have been transformed into animations for the Charity this year. Narrating the 2014 BBC Children in Need trails is iconic actor Daniel Craig, who calls on people from across the UK to unite on a mission to help BBC Children in Need.
Craig is joined by a host of legendary stars whose likeness and voice has been leant to the trails including Helena Bonham Carter, Abbey Clancy, Sir Tom Jones, Paul Hollywood and Louis Smith. Appearing in the fundraising trails on BBC One, the animated stars are galvanising the Nation to ‘Sign up, pledge their allegiance and Be A Hero’ to support the 2014 Appeal.
This exclusive cartoon made especially for BBC Children in Need will air on the BBC Children in Need Appeal Show on Friday 14th November from 7.30pm on BBC One.
