Channel 4 is to go behind the scenes of one of Britain’s leading takeaways in a one hour long observational documentary.
Domino’s is throwing open its doors to ALASKA TV on behalf of the broadcaster, whose cameras will capture the round-the-clock goings on at the delivery pizza chain which has been operating in the UK since 1985.
“With exclusive access to over 850 shops and a 24,500 strong workforce, Domino’s (wt) promises to tell a compelling story about an extraordinarily diverse range of pizza entrepreneurs and customers across our nation.” – Head of Formats, Channel 4, Dom Bird
Featured in the programme will be a range of fascinating characters from across the company from those in senior positions to the staff at local branches. Elsewhere, the innovative ‘Pizzacam’ tells the story of the customers, following pizzas out of the oven and into their homes.
“We are delighted to have our first commission from Channel 4. Domino’s is a fascinating company full of great characters and following the pizzas means getting a slice (ho ho) of life from Britain’s homes, workplaces, even trains! Expect the series to be warm, funny and entertaining; we’re excited to be making it.” – Creative Director, ALASKA TV, Ian Lamarra
Domino’s (provisional title) is yet to be given an air date with the broadcaster only confirming that it is coming soon.
