Chris Tarrant teams up with RDF Television on quiz show pilot

Tarrant, millionaireChris Tarrant is to present a quiz show pilot for RDF Television.

Broadcast reports that the unnamed pilot is being recorded on 15 December at Studio 2000 in Elstree.

It will see contestants battle against each other as they answers a series of questions to safeguard their prize fund.

The studio audience will also be given the opportunity to win some money if they can predict which player will be eliminated next.

Last year, Tarrant relinquished his Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? presenting duties after 15 years, with ITV deciding not to continue the long-running format without him.

He said at the time “It’s been a huge part of my life for fifteen years and I’ve loved every minute of it, but it is time for me to move on from Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. It’s been the most remarkable journey and I consider myself very fortunate to have been associated with Millionaire from its inception. ITV have been fantastic in their support from day one and to see its huge success has been thrilling.”

It is thought that ITV is not involved with the pilot which will be exec produced by RDF’s head of entertainment Peter Usher.

Tarrant has previously worked with RDF on ITV Daytime quiz The Great Pretender.
