Household name Katie Price has arrived as the latest celebrity contestant on the winter 2015 edition of Celebrity Big Brother. The model and presenter has entered the house following the controversial departures of actors Ken Morley and Jeremy Jackson.
36-year-old Katie says she’s joining the latest series of the reality series because ‘the price was right’. And Channel 5 will be hoping that the arrival of Katie will put the show back on the right track following negative press headlines of late thanks to the untamed mouth of former Coronation Street actor Ken Morley and the actions of ex-Baywatch actor Jeremy Jackson. Both were given the chop from the series following their outrageous behaviour, and now producers hope Katie will bring a touch of glamour to the series.
“I’m still recovering from a boob reduction.” – Katie Price
Despite the iffy comments from Morley and the un-wanted female exposure Jackson unleashed Price thinks the series so far has been ‘great’, but what will Price – previously known by the pseudonym Jordan – be bringing to the CBB house?
“I will have some fun and what happens, happens.” – Katie Price
The singer, television personality, novelist, businesswoman, and former glamour model also hopes that the viewers will see the ‘real Katie Price’ and not the version that a selection of the press like to invent she adds.
“To be honest, that is why it’s good when I do my reality shows. I haven’t done one of those for a few years so it is a good chance for them to see that I am still the same normal down to earth person… I don’t really wear makeup and I am always casual when I’m not working. My hair will most likely be scrunched up on my head, no make- up, in my trackies or hoodies, that’s me. I think people will be surprised. Why do people want to spend hours putting on makeup when you see what they look like first thing in the morning anyway? I don’t understand it.
“…But, saying that, I’ve never been in the house before and I’m sure it’s not easy, so who knows what will happen?”
