Kathie Lee Gifford staying with NBC’s Today Show

NBC has shut down rumours that Kathie Lee Gifford is leaving the Today Show following a row last month with bosses.

It was reported this week that Kathie Lee Gifford had clashed with NBC News President Deborah Turness.

It was claimed that Turness had turned down a request by Gifford to air a Today Show themed musical, which actually aired at the end of December.

The New York Post reports that NBC has dismissed the reports, saying: “That story is total nonsense. The only rift at the fourth hour of ‘Today’ is whether it’s going to be red or white wine.”

Kathie Lee Gifford co-hosts the popular fourth hour of the Today show alongside Hoda Kotb.
