Simon Cowell rejects idea of Katie Hopkins as BGT judge

CBB - Katie Hopkins

Simon Cowell has ruled out Katie Hopkins working as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent.

Cowell was attending Elle Style Awards in London when he was asked if the outspoken columnist could replace him on the Britain’s Got Talent judging panel. He replied: “I would rather take a bath, fill it with vinegar, cut myself a thousand times, immerse myself slowly for an hour, than work with her. So the answer is no.”

Hopkins responded to Cowell’s comments on her Twitter page, posting a typical Hopkins bitch-slap. She tweeted: “Simon is not excited about having me around for @BGT. I was thinking of a new show, @LGBT. I think he’d be just perfect.”

Cowell and fellow judges David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden have been filming auditions for the new series of Britain’s Got Talent which is due to start on ITV in the spring.

Hopkins came runner-up in the most recent series of Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5 which was won by Katie Price.
