Katie Hopkins runner-up in Celebrity Big Brother

Katie Hopkins has finished in second place in tonight’s Celebrity Big Brother final.

The controversial columnist was beaten to the title of winner by television personality and former model Katie Price.

Katie told Emma Willis: “No one not even me [thought I’d come runner-up]. I think I was the most hated housemate going into the house. If you’re nice to me that crucifies me every time. It’s really kind and it is great to come second.”

Katie said her plan going into the house was to be consistent and true to herself, adding: “I am quite tough and my opinions are quite hard. I am fairly to the right and not a loony left-winger but Celebrity Big Brother were kind enough to place a complete and utter twat in the house so I was able to look less of one.”

She compared Perez to ‘thrush’ and said: “I think it was good that I was in there to be his adversary [and] to take him on. If Perez hadn’t been there very likely I would still have been everyone’s least favourite person and a complete cow. He’s done me a favour. If he wasn’t the biggest twat I may have been the second biggest twat”.

Asked about people sitting on the fence, she said: “There’s too many people sitting on the fence and wanting to be loved. I had stuff to say unlike Pricey who frankly has been boring as hell.”
