EastEnders live scenes to be marked by hashtag

EastEnders 30th

The live inserts in next week’s EastEnders will be ‘clearly marked’ according to the show’s official Facebook page.

As part of the soap’s 30th anniversary celebrations, live scenes will be inserted into pre-recorded editions next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday prior to a wholly-live episode on Friday.

Fans will be able to ascertain which scenes are being transmitted live by the appearance of the #EELive hashtag.

Viewers will finally discover the identity of Lucy Beale’s killer during the live week, while Barbara Windsor, Jo Joyner and John Partridge are reprising their roles as Peggy Mitchell, Tanya Cross and Christian Clarke.

Richard Blackwood will also make his debut as a new villainous character.

Due to the screening of a FA Cup match on Monday (16th February), there will be no EastEnders that night. However, the soap will have a presence in BBC One’s schedule with a special edition of The Graham Norton Show featuring a selection of cast.
