BBC Two to air Matt Lucas comedy series ‘Pompidou’

BBC TwoBBC Two is to air a brand new visual comedy series starring Matt Lucas.

Airing from Sunday 1 March, Pompidou will see the Little Britain star portray an oddball aristocrat who has fallen on hard times. The character resides in a clapped out caravan in front of his crumbling estate.

Alex MacQueen plays the role of Pompidou’s faithful butler, Hove, who assists him in various challenges with the pair joined by Marion, an elegant Afghan Hound.

The challenges faced by Pompidou and Hove include stealing back a priceless bowl they once owned and extracting a live bird which has flown into Hove’s mouth and is nesting in his stomach.
