Will Family Guy be moving to ITV?

Rumours are rife that ITV are set to buy the rights to screen Family Guy.

Speculation hit fever pitch on Wednesday after a photo was posted on Twitter showing a lift at ITV towers adorned with the show’s cast. The hit animated comedy is currently screened on BBC Three and FOX UK, where it is regularly the most watched programme. BBC Three is expected to become an online-only channel as the BBC look to make cuts.

Radio Times online reports that executives from FOX in America, who make Family Guy, recently visited ITV to discuss a possible move. Both ITV and the BBC have declined to comment when approached about the story. On Tuesday evening, the BBC Press Office took to Twitter to respond to the day’s discussion about the possible move.

BBC Press tweeted: “There’s been lots of speculation today but, to confirm, Family Guy will be on the @BBC until at least 2017.”
