UK premiere dates announced for Sky Atlantic’s True Detective and The Brink

Sky Atlantic has revealed its premiere dates for HBO productions’ True Detective and The Brink.

Both series will air in the UK on Monday June the 22nd, less than 24hrs after their American debut on HBO.  Additionally, True Detective will be simulcast alongside the US transmission at 2am.

Following True Detective’s critically acclaimed debut the new series of the anthology crime drama follows three police officers and a career criminal as they navigate a web of conspiracy in the aftermath of a murder. Set and shot in California, the eight-episode run boasts a popular cast including Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch and Kelly Reilly. The series is written and created by Nic Pizzolatto, with Justin Lin directing the first two episodes.

While brand new dark comedy The Brink stars Jack Black, Tim Robbins and Pablo Schreiber as three disparate, desperate Americans upon whose shoulders the fate of the world rests after a rogue general seizes control of Pakistan and its nuclear arsenal. From the turbulent streets of the Middle East, to the White House situation room, to an aircraft carrier on the Red Sea, these three compromised souls must pull through the chaos around them to save the planet from World War Three. Additional cast members include British comedy actors Rob Brydon, Meera Syal and Michelle Gomez.  The ten episode series is executive produced by Jerry Weintraub, Roberto Benabib and Jay Roach, and created by Roberto Benabib and Kim Benabib.

True Detective and The Brink will premiere exclusively in the UK on Sky Atlantic on Monday 22nd June 2015.
