British Soap Awards 2015: Winners Revealed

BSA 2015 - Philip Schofield

BBC One’s EastEnders enjoyed a successful evening at the British Soap Awards 2015.

The show was awarded eight prizes in total at the event – overseen by Phillip Schofield and held in Manchester last night – including Best Soap, Best Actor and Actress and Best Storyline.

Coronation Street legend Anne Kirkbride was honoured posthumously in the Outstanding Achievement category in one of two wins for the ITV saga. ITV’s Emmerdale also took home two gongs including Scene Of The Year, while Channel 4’s Hollyoaks and the BBC’s Doctors won one a-piece in the Villain and Newcomer categories respectively.

All five Soaps were recognized for their coverage of various social issue led stories and the impact they’ve made on viewers.

The awards will be broadcast on Thursday (21 May) at 8.00pm on ITV.
