Singer and media personality Myleene Klass will present ITV’s new barbeque competition series, BBQ Champ.

Airing over the summer, the format endeavours to find Britain’s best barbecuer with contestants competing against one another in BBQ-related challenges to become the first BBQ Champ.

“I am beyond excited to be hosting BBQ Champ. It’s no secret that I’m partial to a good burger, so to be able to see culinary magic happening as well as get to sample it in situ is my absolute dream job.” – Myleene Klass

Man V. Food star Adam Richman and British chef and restaurateur Mark Blatchford will judge the contestant’s work, with those failing to make the grade being sent home. Klass has previously hosted Popstar to Operastar for ITV and The One Show for the beeb while Blatchford is a newcomer to the screen, but brings with him a wealth of cooking experience.

“As a chef and a bloke I’ve been cooking over and in charcoal & wood for the past 15 years. It is without doubt the tastiest, most versatile and yet most natural cooking method there is.  To be part of the BBQ judging team alongside Adam Richman is brilliant and I can’t wait to get stuck in to see what the competitors can do.” – Mark Blatchford

Richman previously said: “As an American who has come to truly love the UK, I’m overjoyed to see the UK embracing BBQ. Not just eating ‘cue, but crafting it, creating it and pushing themselves to make the best and be the best.  And we are looking for the best to be our BBQ Champ!”
