Georgia May Foote joins Strictly Come Dancing 2015

Georgia May Foote is the fourth celebrity confirmed to be taking part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

The actress’s participation was announced this morning (13 August) on BBC Breakfast.

“I am so excited to be part of Strictly 2015! It is something I have always wanted to take part in and now I just can’t wait to get started! I love dancing and I love a challenge so this is the perfect experience for me.”  – Georgia May Foote

Manchester born Georgia has been appearing on British television since 2004. She has appeared in a number of well-known shows such as Life on Mars, Doctors, Casualty, Heartbeat, Emmerdale and This Is England 86.

However, she is best known for a recently-concluded four year stint in ITV Granada saga Coronation Street as Katy Armstrong (pictured).

Georgia joins fellow actress Kellie Bright, TV chef Ainsley Harriott, and presenter and journalist Jeremy Vine in the confirmed line-up for this year’s series which starts on BBC One next month.
