Anita Rani confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing 2015

Anita Rani is the eleventh celebrity confirmed to be taking part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

The TV and Radio presenter’s participation was confirmed this evening (Monday 24 August) on The One Show.

“So many elements of Strictly terrify me but I shall try and think #BeyonceAlwaysOnBeat as I hit the dance floor. I’m so excited to indulge that fantasy and hopefully learn some mean moves in the process. Let’s get our groove on!” – Anita Rani

Anita developed an interest in journalism at the age of 14, hosting her first show on Sunrise Radio in Bradford. She went on to complete her degree in Broadcasting at Leeds University before working in the broadcast industry as a Researcher. Anita has since presented a host of shows for broadcasters including Sky, Channel 4, Channel 5 and the BBC.

Anita joins Jay McGuiness, Anthony Ogogo, Daniel O’Donnell, Peter Andre, Carol Kirkwood, Katie Derham, Georgia May Foote, Kellie Bright, Ainsley Harriott and Jeremy Vine in the line-up.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One next month. Further participants will be announced in due course.
