Jennifer Ellison returns for new series of Dance Mums

Actress and presenter Jennifer Ellison is returning to the Lifetime channel with a second series of Dance Mums.

The UK series is a spin-off from the original American show, Dance Moms, the electric second series follows on from the ratings success of the first for the UK channel. Dance Mums With Jennifer Ellison follows award-winning dancer, actress, presenter and musical theatre star Jennifer Ellison with her elite dancing protégés and their straight-talking mums, as they compete against the very best in the world of dance. Ellison is no doubt best remembered for her role as Emily Shadwick in Channel 4 soap opera Brookside.

Over the eight part series of Dance Mums each episode brings challenging routines, competition nerves and plenty of heated arguments. This time it’s not just Jennifer’s name on the line – it’s her cold hard cash. This series sees the young dance stars training at Jelli Studios, Jennifer’s newly renovated, state-of-the-art dance studios that she has invested every penny into, in her home city of Liverpool.

Returning to test Jennifer’s temper and patience are five of the fiery Dance Mums from the first series, including troublesome duo Charlotte and Danielle, all equipped to push their girls to the very top of Jennifer’s coveted dance pyramid. Throwing an added element into the mix to give her team the ultimate edge, Jennifer has recruited Harry, the troupe’s first boy.
